Ever wanted to petition the Borough Council directly?
It is possible to submit a paper petition, but this must be either handed into the Council or given to a serving Councillor. However, Erewash Borough Council now allows petitions to be submitted online, which can reduce the work involved in collecting signatures.
As long-standing proponents of local democracy, we welcome the opportunity for Erewash residents to put their case to the Borough in this manner and think it important that more people are aware of this functionality.
If you wish to start a petition – paper or electronic – please bear in mind that a petition should relate to an issue where the Council has responsibilities and/or powers.
